We pause. The feelings run deep and they have been brewing for some time. We acknowledge that we not only hold our own emotional memory and trauma, but that of our mothers, that of our fathers, that of our ancestral line, that of our land. We pause because we can no longer continue with this weight. Underneath all that we are, all that we have built our life to be has deep, penetrating roots. To understand these roots, we must go within ourselves and develop our own emotional intelligence so as to see clearly the core of our choices, our behaviours and take responsibility for them. Knowing our emotional body and all that we inherit through it enables us to see how we perpetuate scripted patterns or choose to write new ones. During this lunation, we are gifted the opportunity to confront within us what needs to shift so as to change our current reality. It can be a time of reckoning, where in our external world we are called to initiate change as the reality of our non-alignment becomes visible. This cycle started on January 6 of this year, calling us back to our power so that we may enact it in the world to bring balance back into our systems, to physically act from a place of Soul-aligned conscious awareness. This Eclipse/Full Moon reflects back on that time, offering us to consider all that we have built this year, all of the choices we took action upon that helped create our current reality. Has what we built so far this year been from a place of empowered choice? Or, are unhealed emotional complexes that are at the root of our disempowered behaviours and choices sidetracked our creations? Now is the time to confront what we have not addressed within ourselves and bring it outside of ourselves to better support ourselves by receiving support on what we haven't been able to shift alone ❤️
My thoughts float forward to next weeks Lunar Eclipse in Cardinal Earth, Capricorn. As we are in eclipse season, it can be a time of emotional upheaval. Again, not that it causes it, but that it reflects it. It reflects an energetic opportunity to open ourselves to our own emotional complexes, blocks, and even trauma that needs to be more deeply addressed with our full conscious awareness. In a time of self-care promotion, that can also translate into the superficial treatment of problematic symptoms. There ain't no harm in a bubbly bath though sometimes that which annoys or pains us is trying to speak to us, to alert us to an underlying issue that requires attention. Simply, now is a time to listen to our triggers, to what is stewing within us to be able to possibly work with them in a way we haven't before - to do the shadow work. There are various methods out there, though I would ask you to consider - are they addressing the root cause or symptom? For me, shadow work includes sinking into my complexes and what's coming up for me through astrological self-awareness, belief work, and at times energy healing to help manage what I'm working through... Another translation is sometimes I’m knee deep in the emotional shit and I do what I can to help myself 🤣 It ain’t pretty sometimes and that’s okay too. It has largely been my experience thus far that when I allow myself to sink into my muck and shadows, what they really are is neglected parts of myself that simply require love, understanding, compassion, and integration. Next weeks lunation is quite simply a time to let the light and love in, and to allow yourself to walk the path that enables you to do so

Lately, I have been wondering about our collective subconscious refusal to accept responsibility for our actions. This always comes to mind around celestial phenomenons such as eclipses or retrograde planets as they are largely seen to cause problems. If you've been reading my posts this week, then you will know that I cannot support that perspective. To me, what it truly underlying that perception is a lack of responsibility for one's actions and healing. We seek to blame something external for our internal problems or ignore something within ourselves, and in turn, miss the opportunities that astrological reflection offers us. I feel that this subconscious admission of responsibility also exists at large within our attitude with the environment. Climate change is deeply troubling and the totality of its implications are overwhelming, such as some of our wounds are deeply troubling and the work required to address them can be daunting. To me, it is far more constructive to do something, anything than be like "it's the eclipse" or "I can't make an individual impact on the environment." At the end of the day, we each have a responsibility to ourselves and that which sustains our existence - mama earth. Partly, we have been taught that we don't have an impact. But, we do. In our consumerist society, we have to consider our own buying behaviours and wonder who is benefiting from our purchases and what the implications of them are. Yes, the governments have a lot of the responsibility when it comes to climate change though we do play a part in it and we have power in our pocket as consumers. We can take responsibility without blame and it certainly seems like time for more of that. I've been thinking a lot about this lately and what my own buying behaviours are. I don't eat meat, I have mostly bought everything second hand in my adult life, though I travel. Flying certainly serves a function to see family across seas or for work, though I don't think I can justify it anymore purely for my own entertainments sake. At this point, air travel is not enriching my life, it's indulging my lifestyle 🙄 So I’ll do less, quite simply, as that is within my power ❤️🌱
